Farington Field Airport is located approximately 2.5 miles east of Auburn. The project consisted of converting an existing grass runway to a 3,750-foot hard surface runway. New runway lighting, replacement of the existing terminal building and the airport’s rotating tower beacon. Over 10,000ft of trenching and 5KV cabling for the 75 new base-mounted runway and taxiway lighting. A new segmented circle airport marker and 20 retroreflector markers were also included with this project.
